This beach is a long sandbar that closes the southern entrance to the Santander Bay. It is located in the southern part of the bay, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. The beach consists of a 4.5 kilometer stretch of sand with dunes in the center.
The north face of the beach is open to the Cantabrian Sea and has lots of waves. In contrast, the southern part is within the bay of Santander and has calm and shallow water. In the summer, there is a boat service that connects Santander to this beach. The rest of the year, it can only be accessed by private boat or through the town of Somo. It is, without a doubt, our most paradisiacal and virginal beaches.
